Just reading through old posts. Wow - I used to be so motivated. Where did it all go wrong? Self pity, lack of self confidence, not knowing who I am anymore. Times have certainly changed.
I want to be Teamshell again. I need to be.

Once more
I am reading all of my blogs to remind myself that I deserve to be happy and I deserve to be healthy.
This time will be different but it will be done. Tomorrow is a new day.

Quick post to say hi
Hi All! I have no idea where my post just went so I will write a shortened version. Basically, I am once again struggling with my weight and am determined to fix it. Have spent 12 weeks feeling sorry for myself and now need to snap out of it. Craig is 12 weeks old and is doing great. He giggles a lot and seems to be quite a happy baby. Don't get me wrong he does cry but not very often - or for long... Hopefully that doesn't change..
I have attached a pic of him. If you add me as a friend on Facebook you will see a whole collection of pics of him and other things. My computer is way to slow to add a heap of pics in various locations so I mainly add them to Facebook.
Happy exercising and eating and I look forward to sharing some weight loss news with you soon. :)

Craig, Craig, Craig!
Hi All,
Well now that things have settled down around here I thought that I would post an update. Craig is 4 weeks old today and is doing fantastically. I couldn’t really ask for a better baby. He sleeps well and feeds extremely well! He wakes every 3-4 hours for feeding and lets out an almighty scream when he is ready! He also lets you know when his nappy needs changing but other than that he doesn’t scream a lot. He is very alert and I am amazed at how strong he is. He can lift his head and tries to help you feed him by hanging onto the bottle. Hopefully he stays this calm! He does like to wriggle about so I am thinking he will be an active toddler!
Me on the other hand we I am doing ok. My husband went back to work two days after I got home from hospital (which doesn’t bother me). He is a fantastic help though. He certainly knows what his jobs are when he comes home from work. Lol.. He has also taken over dinner making duties which is great.
I will admit I did do a lot of crying in the first 2 weeks or so. They prepare you for the 3 day baby blues in hospital but no one told me I would cry when I was at home. As much as I love being at home I guess I was struggling with not knowing what to do and really being restricted by not being able to go anywhere. I recovered from my caesarean in about 2 weeks so it has been frustrating. I have looked forward to our weekend outings though. Lol.. I ended up driving yesterday. Stuff waiting for 6 weeks..
I am not sure exactly what I do with my time but it sure goes quickly!

Fat Bums are us
Oh my gosh! I am going to have to be really careful while I am on Maternity Leave or else I will explode. I am just under the weight I was when I started the big John Challenge but granted I did lose 10 or so when I had Craig in Baby weight and fluid etc… It is going to be crucial for me to watch what I eat and make sure that we have lots of fresh food in the house. Luckily I am watching our pennies so take away wont be an option unless it is special occasion or a very tiring Friday evening.
While I was pregnant Pooks did most of the cooking so he has learned so many new recipes in the past few months and has cooked every night since I came home from hospital which has been a godsend. That said at 2:00am this morning Craig and I were both wide awake, he was happily munching on his hand and I was looking for something sweet to munch on. Thankfully our cupboards are pretty void of junk food at this point in time. That said I will need to be extra careful that I don’t start to develop bad habits in the middle of the night!

I am a Mum!
Phew so it has been a crazy couple of weeks! So much has happened in such a short amount of time. It still feels surreal. I went to my routine OB appointment (11th July) and she took my blood pressure which was extremely high. It had always been quite low in the past so she was concerned. Did a urine sample, had heaps of protein in it, she made a few phone calls, then told me to go straight to hospital as they were expecting em and that I would be admitted straight away.
Nice.
So still there Monday OB does some tests decides they should try to induce cause my stats weren’t getting any better. Induction Gel doesn’t work, the have another go on Tuesday morning. Tuesday evening my husband brings me in Subway, I eat shite loads of onion, they put a monitor on the baby at 8:30pm, OB comes to visit while it is on, is not happy with the results – emergency c section, baby wasn’t coping so well…
Baby is delivered by 9:15pm, I am a Mum, and the rest is history……….So I thought.
Bub was taken to the Intensive Care nursery cause of my gestational diabetes, he stayed there til I brought him home yesterday. He is well but it sucked being away from him.. Didn’t get to touch him when he was born until the next day.
As for me, well you know, so far so good. Not much pain, am up and about back to being bossy and a princess. Piece of cake this delivery thing. My wound is looking great and I really think that my recovery has been ok because he was in the nursery and it made me get out of bed everyday to go upstairs in the hospital to see him…I couldn’t just lay around, I had my baby to go and see.
Did have some dramas in the hospital re breast feeding and a few other things but now that I am home it seems like it was years ago! Pooks is doing a great job and it is amazing how natural everything seems to be coming to us.
Anyway best head off. There is a lovely quietness in my house. I am sure it wont last long. :)
