Barefoot and Pregnant

Only barefoot and pregnant because it has been so freaking hot!!!!!!!!

When you lose a bunch of weight it kind of sux when you put it back on. I don’t need much reminding that this is a good weight gain though. A button on my pants popped off the other day. I announced my pregnancy on the air today. It felt weird doing so when so many people already know but apparently people have been e-mailing the radio station to see where I am.

Everything is going super well. So well in fact that I spent the first 3 months of my pregnancy thinking that something bad was going to happen. It is still in the back of my mind but I am getting more and more excited. Am at the half way point now so have to start seriously thinking about getting things ready.

I haven’t put on as much weight as I thought I would so far. Obviously I still have a long way to go but while I am the size of a house I can still wear my own clothes. Clothes which of course became too big last year and are now rather tight in places.

Pooks is taking fantastic care of me and even though he thinks I have been possessed by the hormone devil I do appreciate everything he is doing.

Oranges have probably been my biggest craving to date. Have to eat them everyday. Also went through a phase where I would have a sausage roll and sauce with a chocolate milk for breakfast. That seems to have passed but I do hope it comes back again.. ha ha! Have pretty much gone off fatty and oily foods. The smell does nothing for me. I spent the weekend at the lovely Nambucca Heads (just south of Coffs Harbour) for a family do and while everyone had battered fish by the sea I had crumbed.

I was worried about egtting pregnant in a way because of putting on more weight. When I was at the gym though the trainers kept saying you will be ok as long as you don't eat for two. The baby will get the nutrients it needs. I think that me continuing to do this is really helping.

Anyway I just wanted to say hi and let you know that all is going well with baby Pooks. I hope your weight loss journeys are going well.

I am so excited for you! Yep! just eat right and you'll nourish the baby and keep yourself on the downward side of gaining weight. It kind of shifts itself around.
Sorry though that you're feeling the heat, that's a bummer!
So glad you posted, I've been anxious for you.

Finally...you've updated your blog Michelle :) For about a month of my first trimester with my first, I was sick until midday, then craved potato scallops & coke (I don't even like Coke!).
